Gasthof Widmann in Gilching

Ordered to go for the first time today. Normal schnitzel, french fries and guichinger schnitzel with fried potatoes and a salad. We were thrilled and fed up. French fries were spot on and not cracking. The fried potatoes were not seasoned enough for us. But that is up to everyone. It would be 5 stars if we had eaten on site and the service was still great. Could pay by card 👌

Food is very good. There are also guests who do not want to drink beer. 2020 tea: only black red green 🤔

October 29, 2020: We ordered the advertised pork knuckle at the event, as it was offered. It tasted very good - even if we might have preferred other side dishes. The service was very friendly and quick. Thanks for the relaxed evening so shortly before the new lockdown.

Well, yes, the duck was very good, the potato dumplings were rubbery, either defrosted too quickly or ready-made dumplings, the red cabbage mushy, the jelly-like sauce, at least not suitable for poultry. Obviously, more and more "convenience food" is being processed at Widmann. It's a shame, because I know that you can do it better.

We went to a concert at this inn. It is common for us to eat where we spend an evening. So I can say of ourselves that we can make comparisons. Pork knuckle with sauerkraut was served at the entrance to the hall. The menu said, among other things Duck with red cabbage. At the time of admission, there were only 2 tables with 2 people each in the hall. The waitress came very quickly to take the drinks. Then they asked about their food preferences. Until now I would have given full marks! In addition to a steak for my wife, I didn't want the pork knuckle with sauerkraut but with red cabbage. Since this was on the menu for another dish, this should be possible. I thought. This is possible at least in any other restaurant. In the resulting tone and an unfriendly tone came a NO, not possible. When I asked that both were available on the menu, I asked for changes. I was told that two cooks in the kitchen are not able to change side dishes. I have since lost my appetite and have therefore skipped dinner. After I had finished my beer we were no longer perceived as guests and were left to sit in front of an empty glass for almost an hour. When you finally tried to justify yourself with: "The high effort and also the restaurant is full," I wanted to see that. When I looked inside I saw that 3 out of 6 tables were occupied! If you lie, it is in such a way that the guest does not notice! My request to speak to the landlord was not granted. He did not appear at our table. I call that arrogance! Especially in times of Corona, you should court your guests rather than scare them away. This also includes polite staff and a friendly tone. The concert saved the evening, although I had to go home hungry. This landlord, or was it just the unfriendly service, I'm not sorry if he gets massive problems after Corona. Unfortunately it is not possible to assign less than one star.

Nice to sit outside, but the chef service makes sure that you don't want to go back, friendly service would be what everyone would like. even when the restaurant is full.

Food totally great and recommended. Staff nice and friendly as you wish. Unfortunately, the mindless cyclists are so blinded that all disabled parking spaces are blocked by bicycles and as a disabled person you have to park far away. Unfortunately nobody is responsible for this problem.

Very nice beer garden with a restaurant a bit hidden in Gilching. Classic Bavarian cuisine done really well. The service is on the ball and also very, very friendly. Definitely recommended.

Even from the outside, the inn makes a very nice impression, because everything is neat and well laid out. In good weather there is also a nice beer garden. What do you get to eat here A down-to-earth Bavarian cuisine in a modern, rustic atmosphere. We also enjoyed generous portions, reasonable prices and tasted good. You have to be a bit harder with the rather cracked operation, which unfortunately also forgets or confuses one or the other.

A nice inn in Gilching with a large parking lot in front of it. The decor is simple, but therefore authentic. Child-friendly and sympathetic service, the good and delicious food comes very fast on the table. There are mainly Bavarian dishes. Full points!

I find most Bavarian restaurants to be relatively similar in their offerings, but this place is definitely a bit out of the ordinary. Although they also have the standard items on the menu as well, there are several dishes that are far more creative, and taste incredible. Food-wise, definitely the best little Biergarten I've stumbled upon in a while.

The only Authentic Bavarian Restaurant in Gilching Area! Very good seating arrangement with wooden furniture. Fast service and nice food. Duck is a must try food over here. Perfectly cooked with nice and juicy flavor. On Sundays this is crowded and you may need to take a prior appointment. Staff is good and know English! If you like this Zum Sepperl is recommended!!
